My personal Experience
Personally, I use both programs. Yes, I know all the advantages and disadvantages of each but then for me they come both with unique features.
For example: I use Photoshop when I want to make an image smaller for the web, when I create social media images or if I want to enhance images - just to name a few uses. But then, when I want to create an abstract art set I sit down with my iPad on our living room table and start drawing - without the distraction from anything! I don't even have messages "on" on the iPad - it's for my inner freedom, to enjoy drawing. I feel like in another world.
Additionally, I know, I can, but really I hardly do image editing on my iPad. I do that on my computer where I have some space and a nice 30 inch display. So hey, why should I use my iPad for that?
You see, for me both things are allowed to "be with me" 😉 but as mentioned above it's always about your personal preferences. In case you hardly edit images or create social media graphics why should you use Photoshop? If you are someone who just wants to draw I guess Procreate is just perfect!
