Fall Memory Jar
Beginner
60 Min
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, autumn invites us to slow down. It’s the season of warm blankets, hot drinks, and long walks through rustling leaves — the kind of moments we wish we could hold onto forever.
But what if you could?
A Fall Memory Jar is a simple, heartwarming project that helps your family capture the beauty of the season — one memory at a time. With just a jar, a few printable cards, and small photos, you’ll create a keepsake filled with laughter, gratitude, and love.
This project isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. It’s a gentle reminder that the smallest moments — baking pumpkin muffins, jumping in leaves, reading by candlelight — often become the ones we cherish most.

Step-by-Step: How to Create Your Fall Memory Jar
Step 1 – Print Your Memory Cards
Download and print your Fall Memory Jar Printable Kit on high-quality paper (around 200–250 gsm works best).
The set includes:
memory cards in two designs (lined + blank)
a printable jar label (“Our Fall Memories”)
mini photo frame templates (2x2 inch)
Cut out each piece with scissors or a paper trimmer.
Step 2 – Label Your Jar
Attach your printable Our Fall Memories label to your jar.
If you’re using a basket or box, tie it on with a piece of twine for a rustic look.
This little detail makes the project feel like something special — a family tradition in the making.

That image is a fall memory from our garden. That bush is called "Evita" because it was named like this by the garden center. We bought it because of "her" name - "she" was very (and I mean very!) small and we didn't think she would survive (but "she" was the only one!) - now the bush is about three meters and the leaves are pretty sharp.
Step 3 – Collect Memories All Season Long
Every few days, write down a favorite fall moment on one of your cards:
“We baked apple muffins together.”
“Our walk in the rain turned into a dance.”
“Grandma taught us her pumpkin soup recipe.”
Add the card to your jar — and if you can, slip in a small 2x2 photo to go with it. Watching the jar fill up is a joy all by itself!
Step 4 – Relive the Memories

At the end of November (or whenever you start decorating for Christmas), gather together as a family.
Open the jar and read each card aloud. You’ll laugh, maybe cry, and realize how rich this season truly was.
Keep your cards in a small box or binder to revisit year after year — or start a Winter Memories Jar next!
