You can make this Body Scrub with sugar or salt, depending on the look and feel you prefer.

How to Package Your DIY Christmas Body Scrub
Simple Assembly
Clean the jar rim and close the lid tightly.
Attach a gift tag with twine or ribbon.
Optional: write the scent name on the tag.
This small step instantly turns your scrub into a ready-to-gift present.
Step-by-Step Tutorial: DIY Body Scrub
Add the sugar or salt to a bowl.
Slowly mix in the oil until the scrub is thick but spoonable.
Transfer the mixture into a clean glass jar.
Now add scent and color (see below).
How Do Body Scrubs Get Their Color?
Body scrubs don’t need artificial dyes.
You can create beautiful, soft colors using natural ingredients or cosmetic-safe pigments.
Natural Coloring Options (Recommended)
These work for both sugar scrubs and salt scrubs:
- Pink Himalayan salt*
naturally pink, no added color needed - Cocoa powder*
warm brown tones, perfect for winter & chocolate scents - Ground cinnamon*
light brown / beige with a cozy look - Turmeric* (very small amount!)
soft golden yellow (use sparingly) - Beetroot powder*
pale pink to rosy tones - Spirulina powder*
muted green (best for spa-style scrubs)
Start with ¼ teaspoon, mix well, and adjust slowly.
Cosmetic Mica Powder* (Optional)
If you want more vibrant but still skin-safe colors:
- use cosmetic-grade mica powder only
- a tiny pinch is enough
- ideal for pastel Christmas colors
