That’s where Printable Plant Cards come in.

Step-by-Step Tutorial: Label Your Houseplants Beautifully

Here a quick tutorial on how to use your Houseplants. I print the entire sheet on A4 paper and just cut it out the card you need - whether it's the stick or the card.

1. Download & Print

Download the free card from the library and print it on slightly thicker paper (at least 160 g).
This makes the tag sturdier and more elegant – perfect for gift-giving or home decor.

If you want to label several plants at once, grab the full set with all plant types.

2. Cut Out the Card

Use scissors or, even better, a paper trimmer for perfectly straight edges.
Cut along the outline until you have a clean, rectangular card or a plant stick.

Tip: For extra durability in humid rooms (like the bathroom), laminate the card before punching the hole.

3. Punch a Hole Into the Top

Using a standard hole punch, add a small hole at the top center of the card.
Keep it close to the edge, but not too close – you want the card to hang nicely without tearing.

Goodies You Can't Google!

This is a member-exclusive project and you can get immediate access to it for not much more than a coffee.
Inside the Pepper Printable Club you find this and many other projects you can easily follow.

4. Add Jute or Ribbon

Thread a small piece of jute twine, cotton cord or thin ribbon through the hole.
Tie a simple knot or a small bow.

This gives the card a warm, natural, botanical look – and fits perfectly with indoor plants.

5. Attach the Card to Your Plant

Now tie the string around the plant pot or around a small plant stake.

You can use the card in three different ways:

  • As a hanging tag – around the pot
  • As a stick tag – attached to a wooden stick
  • As a display card – clipped to the pot rim

All three versions look lovely and add personality to your plant corner.
