A Little Pause Can Change Everything
Beginner
20 Min
Life gets busy, and sometimes even the smallest break feels impossible. But a few quiet minutes can change so much – your mood, your energy, your whole day. That’s why I created this little Self Care Card for you.
It’s a gentle reminder to pause, breathe and take five minutes just for yourself.
To make a cup of tea.
To sit on the balcony.
To stretch.
To simply exist without doing anything “useful”.
And because self care works best when it’s easy, you can download this A6 card completely for free.

This card is designed to lighten your day with a little humor: a dog who clearly took his “self-care moment” a bit too literally and stole a bowl of spaghetti. It’s both funny and encouraging — a reminder that you’re allowed to enjoy something “just because,” too.
Our dog inspired me to design the card like this - in summer she "stole" some little sausages which fall from the barbecue. Well... she was faster and enjoyed them :D.

How to Use Your Self Care Card
Your self care printable card can be used in more ways than you’d think. Place it somewhere visible, give it to a friend who needs a smile, or make it part of your cozy weekend ritual.
Where You Can Display It
on your desk
next to your tea station
on your bedside table
inside your planner
taped to a mirror
as part of a cozy corner with blankets, a candle, and a warm drink
Even small reminders can shift the energy of your entire day.
Step-by-Step Tutorial
Here a quick tutorial on how to use your self care card. I put it on an A4 paper (or letter size) so you can easily print and cut it.
1. Print the Card
Download the PDF and print it on thick, matte paper. This keeps the colors rich and the watercolor texture soft.
Tip: Use the “best quality” setting on your printer so the details in the illustration stay crisp.
2. Cut and Prepare the Card
Use a metal ruler and a craft knife to get clean edges. If you prefer a softer finish, a simple pair of scissors works beautifully, or a paper trimmer of course!
3. Display It Where It Matters Most
Think of the place where stress sneaks up on you — maybe at your laptop, or in your kitchen while the pasta boils. A tiny reminder right there can make you stop, breathe, and smile.

I have put my self care card directly next to my computer. Looking at the card puts a smile on my face because it reminds me of our dog who stole the sausages ;-).

4. Build a Mini Self-Care Moment
This printable looks wonderful when you combine it with a few comforting items:

a candle
calming music
It’s a small ritual — but those five minutes can reset your whole afternoon.
