There’s one tradition in our house that makes me smile every single year.
Usually, on Christmas Day, my husband decides it’s time to wrap the gifts he gives to me (I'm wrapping all the others, that's why). And every year, it’s the same story: he sighs, grabs the wrapping paper, a pair of scissors, and tape — and then disappears into our bedroom with a bottle of non-alcoholic beer.
Wrapping just two or three presents can take him an entire hour. He insists he’s really not good at it, but somehow, he always gets the job done. The paper might be slightly uneven, and the ribbons are never perfectly tied — but those little imperfections make it all the more special.
Watching him struggle (and secretly enjoying it!) always reminds me that wrapping gifts is not just about paper and bows. It’s about love, thought, and the joy of giving.
And that’s exactly why I love creating beautiful printable gift tags — because they turn even the simplest wrapping into something truly magical.
So today, I want to show you how to set up your own cozy Christmas Gift Wrapping Station — a little creative nook where wrapping gifts feels less like a chore and more like a joyful ritual.

Here are some of the gift tags I came up with this year. I really enjoyed making them because I love all the animal's faces. It's not just about Santa but all kind of creatures who enjoy Christmas and gift giving.

How to make your own cozy Christmas Gift Wrapping Station
Step 1: Choose Your Wrapping Theme
Before you start, decide on a simple color palette or theme for your gifts.
Here are a few ideas to inspire you:
- Classic Christmas: Red, green, and white with shiny ribbons
- Rustic Charm: Kraft paper, twine, and sprigs of pine
- Winter Wonderland: White, silver, and soft blues
- Nordic Cozy: Natural tones, wooden accents, and handmade tagsOnce you’ve picked your theme, everything else will fall into place.
Tip: I often use my printable sets like my Christmas Cards and Gift Tags to create a coordinated look — matching gift tags, cards, and wall art make everything feel festive and pulled together.
Step 2: Gather Your Wrapping Essentials
Set up a small space — maybe your dining table, a desk, or even a kitchen counter — and collect everything you’ll need.
Here’s a handy checklist:
Wrapping paper rolls
Scissors and tape
Twine, ribbons, or yarn
My Printable Merry Christmas Gift Tags (2x3.5 inch – perfect size!)
Hole punch and small stickers
A mug of tea or hot cocoa
You can store everything in a cute basket or box so it’s ready when you need it.

Step 3: Print and Cut Your Christmas Gift Tags
This is the fun part! My printable gift tags come ready to print on A4 paper.
Here’s how to use them:
- Print the tags on thick paper or cardstock.
- Cut along the lines.
- Punch a hole at the top and thread some twine or ribbon through.
- Write your name and your recipient's name — or let your kids do it for a personal touch.
The tags feature cute Christmas friends — little penguins, reindeer, gnomes, and snowmen — so even if your wrapping isn’t perfect (like my husband’s!), your gifts will look absolutely adorable.
You can get these printable tags inside the Pepper Printable Club, or purchase them separately in my store if you’re not a member yet.
Step 4: Add Cozy Touches to Your Wrapping Station

Make wrapping time feel special. Turn on your favorite Christmas playlist, light a candle, and maybe keep a small bowl of cookies nearby.
I love adding a few seasonal touches — a vase with pine branches, a small basket for ribbons, or fairy lights to make the space glow. It’s amazing how much joy comes from slowing down and making wrapping gifts a moment of calm in the holiday rush.
Step 5: Wrap with Love — and a Little Magic
Now, you’re ready to start wrapping! Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Sometimes, the most heartfelt gifts come wrapped with laughter, crooked tape, and a few extra layers of paper. (Or, as a friend did, with Christmas paper on a birthday!)
Add your printable tags as the finishing touch — they bring personality and warmth to every gift. Whether you’re giving cookies, handmade presents, or store-bought treasures, a sweet tag says: I made this special for you.
Make Wrapping Part of the Joy
Every time I see my husband sitting there, frowning over a roll of tape and a piece of paper, I realize how much love is hidden in those imperfectly wrapped gifts.
So this year, turn your wrapping moments into memories. Pour yourself a drink, play your favorite Christmas song, and enjoy creating something beautiful with your hands.
