March 2012 Photo Challenge

Hi everyone,
Can you believe it's March already before we know it, it will be Christmas, that's a frightening
thought. But until then we have lots of exciting challenges here at the resort.

March is a busy month for me, we have three birthdays in our immediate family, mine and
two of my daughters. This made me think of layouts with three photos in a row. Three is a
magic number in designing of any sort. Think of a triangle it has three points, have a look
at the picture below.

Find some ornaments of different heights, bottles, teapot, cup, anything available and arrange
them in the shape of a triangle, put them close together some behind and some in front, some
overlapping, remember this is artistic not regimented. If you have got it right when you step back and look you will see the arrangement is very pleasing to the eye. You can use this in your home, in your scrapbooking and, keep it in mind, when you are taking photos.


Your Challenge Scrap three photos in a row horizontally, diagonally, upright your choice.

Save your layout as a jpg file, at 600x600 pixels, no larger than 125 K.

Do you want the photos grouped as a triangle or just three photos horizontal or vertical and clustered elements as triangles. I'm confused, but its early..my brain isn't working yet.

It could be confusing so I think this is very timely. :-) Three photos horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
I put upright to help anyone who has a problem with English I couldn't think of other words for horizontal and diagonal. LOL

The triangles are just something interesting to try I learnt about them when I was training to do displays. They have come in handy ever since. You can try using them with your elements for fun but it is not necessary.

Hope you enjoy the challenge and good for you here on the 1st, so there is nothing wrong with your brain in the morning.

This layout is the other half of a double-page spread. I created the LH one for this month's font challenge. Then, because I had lots of photos from the 2011 St. Patrick's Day parade, I decided to make a facing page. I still have loads of pictures from that event, so I'll probably doing at least one more double-page spread soon, depending on the challenges that come along.

And, Paddy, you are absolutely right about the magic of triangles!
