It’s always nice to give your guests something special and personal. With these Goodie Bag Toppers you are on the right track. We have created them from the kit It’s a Girl’s World. But if you have a party for a boy you can, for example, use My favorite Pair of Jeans. Make your party favors more personalized with these toppers. You can match it with your theme and you could even add a message or name on it. Here’s how to make them in GIMP. Remember, Gimp is free to use.
Goodie Bag Toppers
Open an 8.5 x 11 inch image.
Go to View > Show Grid.
Then go to Image > Configure Grid and set the settings as in the image below. This will create a guide for you to create four toppers.
You can increase each image by clicking on it so you can easily see all settings used.
Using your preferred backgrounds and embellishments, arrange your layers to how you want them to appear. Here, I used digital papers and elements featured in the It’s a Girl’s World kit available at the Digidesignresort.com shop.
Since each one will be folded in two, any text you put at the back side needs to be put by turning this image upside-down. Go to Image > Transform > Rotate 180.
Using the Text tool, write your message.
Turn it back up again and prepare it for printing.
After printing, cut all the cards you created.
Fold each one in half.
Insert the folded opening of your goodie bag between the folded topper. Secure with a stapler.
Now your goodie bags are sealed and ready to be given away!
