Scrapbooking is very famous in the United States and slowly gets more and more famous in other countries as well. But nearly every day I get emails from scrapbooking beginners who like to learn more about the utilities they need to get started. Here an overview over the best digital scrapbooking software.
There are lots of different programs available to do digital scrapbooking but you do not really need a special one – each and every graphic program that opens JPG and PNG files are fine. You can even use older graphic programs. Common graphic programs are:
- Photoshop Elements
- MyMemories
- Photoshop
- iScrapbook
- ScrapbookMax
- Gimp
- Paint Shop Pro
- Photo Impact
Graphic programs work all more or less equal. You can open files, transform them, arrange them on the scrapbook, blend them in – all this and much more works in every graphic program but might be slightly different. With all of these programs you can create beautiful scrapbooks. We have tons of tutorials here on our Digidesignresort Blog and recommend Photoshop Elements because it is really easy to use and you can also go further – which won’t work with programs such as iScrapbook and ScrapbookMax.
